Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Storytime LA collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and the choices available to you when you visit this website, make a purchase, join an email list, contact us, or use our services.

Who we are

Storytime LA creates brand strategy, creative consulting, educational resources, digital products, podcasts, workshops, and coaching. Our work also includes The Kitchen Table Method, The PowerMomma Podcast, and Wonderkidz LA.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with the website, we may collect:

  • Your name, email address, and information you submit through a contact form, survey, registration, or customer-support request.
  • Purchase details such as the product purchased, purchase date, and payment status.
  • Communications you send to Storytime LA and testimonials submitted with permission.
  • Basic technical data such as browser and device type, referring page, pages visited, approximate location, and website interactions if analytics are enabled.

Storytime LA does not directly collect or store full payment-card numbers. Payments are handled by third-party commerce and payment providers, including Payhip and its payment-processing partners.

How we use information

We may use information to deliver purchases and services, process transactions, answer inquiries, provide customer support, send messages you requested, improve our work and website, protect against fraud or misuse, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website and business, including hosting, email, scheduling, analytics, file delivery, commerce, payment processing, and professional advisers. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or complete a business transfer.

Storytime LA does not sell personal information for money or knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, this policy and any legally required privacy choices will be updated.

Third-party services, cookies, and analytics

The website may link to or use services operated by Payhip, payment processors, podcast platforms, social-media platforms, scheduling providers, newsletter services, or other companies. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.

The website may use cookies or similar technologies needed for site operation, security, preferences, checkout, or basic analytics. If nonessential advertising or analytics technologies are added, we will provide notices or consent controls required by law. The site may not respond to traditional “Do Not Track” signals because there is no universally accepted standard. Where legally required, we will honor applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals.

Email choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails through the link in any message or by contacting us. We may still send transaction or service messages needed to fulfill a purchase, booking, or request.

Children’s privacy

This website and Wonderkidz LA resources are intended for parents, caregivers, educators, and other adults—not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so it can be reviewed and, when appropriate, deleted.

Retention, security, and your choices

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including service, business records, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement of agreements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you. Some information may need to be retained to complete a transaction, maintain required records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or exercise legal rights. Rights vary by location and may apply only when legal thresholds are met. Identity verification may be required.

Send privacy requests to samantha@storytimela.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our services, technology, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes may also be announced through the website or email. Questions may be sent to samantha@storytimela.com.

Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of the Storytime LA website, content, digital products, workshops, coaching, consulting information, and related services. By using the website or purchasing a product or service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or make a purchase.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter an agreement to make a purchase, book a service, or submit personal information. Child-related resources are offered to adults, including parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals—not directly to children.

Purchases and payment

Prices, formats, access terms, and included materials are shown on the applicable sales or checkout page. You agree to provide accurate purchase information and pay the stated charges. Purchases may be processed through Payhip and its payment partners, whose separate terms may apply. Storytime LA may correct genuine pricing or description errors, decline fraudulent or unauthorized orders, or cancel an order when reasonably necessary. A completed purchase canceled by Storytime LA will be refunded.

Digital-product license

Unless a product page says otherwise, digital products are licensed to one purchaser for personal, household, classroom, or internal business use as described with the product. You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, upload, share, sublicense, or give the files to others.
  • Copy substantial portions into another product, course, training, workbook, website, or artificial-intelligence dataset.
  • Remove copyright, trademark, attribution, or ownership notices.
  • Claim the material, frameworks, writing, illustrations, or designs as your own.
  • Use the materials to train an artificial-intelligence model or create a substantially similar commercial product.

Educators and organizations needing multi-user, school-wide, team, or client-use rights should contact Storytime LA about licensing.

Intellectual property

The website and its original text, frameworks, methods, workbooks, graphics, illustrations, photography, audio, video, branding, downloads, and design belong to Storytime LA or are used with permission and are protected by applicable law. Storytime LA, The Kitchen Table Method, The PowerMomma Podcast, Wonderkidz LA, and related names, logos, taglines, and identities may not be used in a way that suggests ownership, endorsement, or affiliation without written permission.

User submissions and client work

If you submit feedback, testimonials, creative materials, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it. Storytime LA will not publicly use your name, likeness, testimonial, story, a child’s information, or identifiable project details for marketing without permission. Specific consulting work may require a separate signed agreement. If it conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement controls for that project.

Results and acceptable use

Coaching, workshops, and resources provide educational, strategic, reflective, or creative guidance. No particular business, financial, educational, therapeutic, or personal result is guaranteed. You may not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape protected content, impersonate another person, use the website unlawfully, or violate anyone’s rights.

Third-party services

The website may link to third-party services, products, podcasts, social platforms, or resources. Storytime LA does not control their content, availability, security, promises, or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily mean endorsement.

Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, content, and products are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or universally compatible access or any particular result. Nothing here excludes consumer rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storytime LA is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of—or inability to use—the website, products, content, or services. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability connected with a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Governing law

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. A dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Los Angeles County, California, unless applicable consumer law requires another location or process. Before filing a claim, please contact samantha@storytimela.com and make a good-faith effort to resolve it.

Changes, severability, and contact

Updated terms apply prospectively from their effective date. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Questions may be sent to samantha@storytimela.com.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Because Storytime LA offers immediately accessible digital files as well as scheduled services, refund terms vary by product type. This policy applies unless a sales page or signed client agreement clearly provides different terms.

Digital products and downloads

Digital-product purchases are generally final and nonrefundable once the download or access link has been delivered. We will review and, when appropriate, correct, replace, or refund a purchase if you were charged twice, received the wrong product, received a corrupted or inaccessible file after reasonable troubleshooting, or the product materially differs from its description.

Contact samantha@storytimela.com within 14 days of purchase with your name, purchase email, order details, and a short description of the problem. We may first attempt to replace the file or restore access. A change of mind or failure to use the product generally does not qualify for a refund. This does not limit consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

Coaching and one-to-one sessions

  • Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the start time for a full refund or transfer to another available time.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are nonrefundable, although a one-time emergency reschedule may be allowed.
  • Missed sessions without notice are nonrefundable.
  • If Storytime LA cancels, you may choose a full refund or reschedule at no additional charge.
  • A late arrival does not extend the scheduled end time.

Workshops and group programs

Any terms shown on the registration page control. If no separate terms appear, cancellation at least seven calendar days before the event qualifies for a refund. Later cancellations are nonrefundable, although registration may be transferred to another eligible attendee with advance notice. If Storytime LA cancels, registrants will receive a refund or may transfer to a rescheduled date. Storytime LA is not responsible for unrelated travel, lodging, childcare, or other expenses.

Consulting and physical products

Consulting and agency refunds, deposits, cancellations, and termination are governed by the applicable proposal or client agreement. Before physical products are offered, the sales page will state the return window, condition requirements, exclusions, and responsibility for return shipping. Contact us before returning an item.

Refund timing and purchase support

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Banks and payment providers control when a credit appears. Please contact Storytime LA first about an incorrect charge, missing file, or access problem. This does not limit your legal right to dispute an unauthorized or incorrect charge with your payment provider.

Educational and Professional Disclaimer

Storytime LA creates resources to help people think clearly, tell stronger stories, build meaningful work, and support families with practical tools. Those resources are educational—not a substitute for individualized professional care or advice.

General educational information

The website, podcast, newsletters, social content, workbooks, downloads, workshops, and coaching materials are for general educational and informational purposes. They do not create a professional-client relationship unless a separate written agreement expressly does so.

Wonderkidz LA and child-related resources

Wonderkidz LA materials are designed for adults, including parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals supporting children. They are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, behavioral-health, occupational-therapy, speech-language, special-education legal, or diagnostic services.

Materials do not diagnose autism or another condition, prescribe treatment, replace an individualized education program, or replace advice from a physician, psychologist, therapist, educator, attorney, or other qualified professional. Children and environments differ. A strategy that helps one person may not help another. Adults are responsible for using judgment, considering each child’s communication and safety needs, and seeking qualified support when appropriate.

If you are concerned about a child’s immediate health or safety, contact an appropriate licensed professional or emergency service. Do not rely on this website or its resources in an emergency.

Business, brand, and creative resources

The Kitchen Table Method, Storytime LA consulting content, and related resources offer creative, strategic, and educational guidance. They do not guarantee revenue, audience growth, business performance, publication, funding, media coverage, customer acquisition, or another result. Examples and case studies are illustrative. Results depend on decisions, experience, market, timing, implementation, resources, and circumstances outside Storytime LA’s control.

Podcast guests, testimonials, and your responsibility

Views expressed by guests on The PowerMomma Podcast are their own and do not necessarily represent Storytime LA. Podcast conversations are informational and are not individualized professional advice. Testimonials describe individual experiences and do not promise the same result for everyone.

You are responsible for evaluating information and deciding whether and how to use it. For decisions involving health, mental health, education rights, law, finance, safety, or another regulated field, consult an appropriately qualified professional who understands your circumstances.

Accessibility Statement

Storytime LA believes good ideas, useful resources, and meaningful stories should be available to as many people as possible. We are committed to improving the accessibility and usability of our website and digital materials for people with disabilities.

Our approach

We work to support accessible experiences through clear headings and structure, meaningful alternative text, sufficient color contrast, legible typography, keyboard-accessible navigation and controls where supported by the platform, text alternatives for important audio and video when practicable, plain-language instructions, descriptive links, and accessible downloads whenever reasonably possible.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Technology, content, and third-party platforms change, and some areas may not yet work perfectly for every person or assistive technology.

Third-party content

The website may link to or embed checkout, podcast, video, social-media, scheduling, and email services that Storytime LA does not fully control. We still welcome reports about barriers encountered while accessing Storytime LA content through them.

Need help or found a barrier?

If you have difficulty using the site, accessing a digital product, or getting information in a usable format, please tell us which page or resource you were using, what happened, and—if you wish—the browser, device, or assistive technology involved. We will make a reasonable effort to provide an accessible alternative and address the barrier when possible.

Email samantha@storytimela.com with “Accessibility Support” in the subject line.
